DIY | Colored Mason Jars

Okey, so i live in a tiny tiny apartment, boring as hell. And I was thinking of how could I just make it more fun, more colorful and happy -- after all it's summer!
I have seen this on printerest maybe a million times, so i decided to give it a try!

Went to the local craft store and bought two cans of spray paint: Gold and Pink -- don't know why but lately i am kinda into gold..

And this is super easy and simple. I went out side, layed some newspaper and started spraying the jars with the spray paint. I painted them from the inside because i thought it would give them q more glassy look -- and it worked! They turned out so cute!

The only thing i have to point out is that i guess the paint i bought wasn't completely opaque -- for the gold one i had to apply a second coat because i wanted a really solid color, the pink I actually liked the kinda cloudy pink effect, so no second coat on those! But what happens is that you can see to the inside, so if you add dirt and some flowers, it will show, but i thought it was a bonus![The red one in the picture is actually pink -- the dirt makes it look darker]

I end up using the pink ones as flower vases and the gold ones, i fill them with some regular coffee beans and use it to hold all my make up brushes -- The combination of the gold and the brown is just so cute and it also releases such a nice coffee aroma! I don't have any good pictures of it -- the lighting in my house is super bad!

Are you into DIYs? Can you suggest me any cool--and easy-- DIY for me to try? Give me a comment, I would love to know!

The only thing we want to make sure to point out is that some colors aren’t completely opaque. Which means when you fill them with water and flowers (and florist foam if you’re using it) the color will be darker than you planned, since you’ll be able to see the stems and water through the paint. - See more at: http://www.100layercake.com/blog/2010/09/30/diy-colored-mason-jars/#sthash.Uo2UCRNa.dpuf
