Beach days are here -- this means we’ve arrived to that time of the year where people start to be really body conscious -- we look in the mirror and we don't like to see all the lumps and bumps that we've accumulated during winter. And, from what I've seen, people do one of two thing: either they start working out and eating better, or they they start making excuses and writing stupid Facebook posts stating how great they feel in their fat-ass bodies.
And this is me ranting about this second group of people: C’mon girls, be honest, I can’t believe that you look in the mirror and that you actually like what you see. I just can’t believe that. And for me all those posts saying that you love yourself and that you are beautiful no matter what size you wear... that all just a bunch of BS... well yeah sure I agree that size doesn't matter, we all have different body' sizes and shapes, but for god's sake you need to at least have some what of an healthy height!
This annoys me so much because I see really overweight girls, some close to obese, saying this type of stuff and other girls just supporting that. It’s completely stupid! I truly believe that they are just lying to themselves and to everyone around them. I don’t believe that when they look at mirror and see their but full of cellulite, that they are genuinely OK with that. It’s impossible. I’m not saying we should all have that ultra thin Barbie like body, but at least we should try to be healthy. Being overweight is an eating disorder too, no just anorexia. Stop making fat people feel too good about themselves! It’s the same as saying to an anorectic girl that she looks really good like that. It's just supporting an unhealthy situation.
