EAT| King Sushi

There are a lot of sushi restaurants all over Lisbon. Sushi is so trendy now that I feel we have a sushi place on literally every corner. But not all sushi places are the same - Oh no sir! I've gone to many different ones, at different price points. Some are too cheap, and the quality is not that great... Some have amazing, mind-blowing sushi but will make a whole in your wallet. It took me a while to find the restaurant with the perfect balance quality/price but I thing I've got it!

It's called King Sushi and it's located on one of the main arteries of the city, near Campo Pequeno. It has a nice cozy environment, usually with some Asian music on the background. It's buffet style and it's not just sushi. They have Chinese food -- really good too! -- and a stir fry bar where you choose the ingredients and they make you food. It's really good to go with someone that is going to try sushi for the first time: they may not like it but at least they will have something else too eat! They make fresh sushi pretty much constantly, you can even see them preparing it, and if you want a specific type you can ask and they'll make it just for you!

As for the price, well it's 15.99€ + drinks for dinner (lunch is slightly cheaper). But it is worth the money. The drinks are a little bit expensive -- but if you want to get your money worth, ask for Jasmim Tea! You'll not be disappointed.

Help me!

Although I usually don't wear parfume, it's kinda nice to have some to use once in a while. I actually prefer to spray on my cloths, instead of in my body (neck or whatever). But now, I don't even own one bottle. The last one I had, it broke inside my suitcase when I was coming back from France. I've been looking to buy one ever since, but I can't decide... I'm considering one of these 4.

Opinions? Suggestions? Help?

-- Please be nice and supportive and click on at least one of the pictures! I'd do the same for you. Thank you! --

Stuck In My Head | Paris

Damn, I lived in Paris for like two years and I never knew it was so close to the beach. Great song, tho.

If we go down, then we go down together
We'll get away with everything
Let's show them we are better

Tips&Tricks | Saving money on Lush

By now you know that my love for lush products is bigger than life itself, right?! You know I really enjoy this type of natural, hand-made products. But they are SO expensive! Too expensive, almost. I really enjoy using them and it'a something that I happy to spend my money on, but I don't like to waste my money! I've been shopping regularly at Lush for a wile now and I've found out some things that are helpful for getting my money's worth!

1- After the different holidays, the thematic products usually are 50% off (or but one, get one free). This is an awesome opportunity to stock up on bath-bombs or bubble-bars! And this is specially good after Valentine's Day!

2 - If you are not using them right away, don't keep your bath-bombs in the paper-bag they come in. They will loose their fizziness, and you will be disappointed. Use a tin can. I have a big tin can -- you know, those that usually come filled with cookies -- and I keep my bath-bombs in it. There's a reason why lush sells tiny tin boxes for their products!

3 - Usually you don't need to use a full bath-bomb to have fun. You can just leave it in the tub for a while, until the water has changed color and then, take it out. I can usually get 2 to 3 uses out of it. The same with bubble-bars -- just break off a bit, crumble it in your hands, and

4- Lush gives out samples of pretty much anything. My favorite thing to ask for is the fresh face masks. Their fresh face masks are made with fresh ingredients and they have a very short shelf-life, and because of that you are supposed to keep them in the fridge. Well... I always end-up forgetting about it at the back of my fridge after using it once or twice! The little pot they give you as a sample, has enough product for at least two uses!

5- You can freeze fresh face masks and use them as you need. It's the best way to get your money's worth with the face-masks! I usually re-use the sample containers, I split the big pot into a few of the little containers as soon as I get home from the store, and I stick them in the freezer. Than I use whatever was left in the big pot, during the following days. This way I don't waste any product and I always have a face mask on hand, whenever I feel like my skin needs a little something! I try to freeze it right away, to keep all the freshness intact!

EAT | Rice Me

Here in Lisbon, it seams like you can find cool edgy restaurants on every corner. It's really amazing! I've recently found one that is now my favorite place to go!
It's called Riceme and everything they serve contains -- you guessed it -- RICE!

Every item on the menu has some sort of rice element in it, and I think this a super cool idea I love rice! Rice is something so cheap, but that can be so underrated! They serve typical Portuguese dishes but with an Asian twist! It's amazing!

Last Saturday, I went there with my boyfriend -- we kinda wanted to have a proper date. And this places has a nice, cozy atmosphere. We arrived at around 20:30h, with no reservation, and they only had one free table for two -- lucky us!. The place is not very big but it was packed! The closeness to other people kinda kills the date mood. They have a very small menu -- 10 dishes on the menu plus one "dish of the day" that changes throughout the week.

As a starter, we had some crispy Gyosas that were amazing! -- sorry, no pics of that, I was so excited I forgot to take a picture!  As the main course, I had the Mushrooms and Asparagus Risotto, that was just perfect! The rice was perfectly cooked, and it was creamy and earthy! Really, really good. My boyfriend had the Chicken Pad Thai, which is a warm, spicy, yellow curry. Served in rice, of course. Basmati rice. It was also amazingly cooked. The sauce was thick and velvety, and tasted amazing.

For dessert, we shared some profiteroles filled with Sweet Rice pudding Whipped Cream, and covered with the most luxurious, shinny chocolate ganache. It was divine!

The service is really good there-- it is fast and coordinated. The waiters are always super nice and super friendly. You know that this is a deal-breaker for me -- I really value costumer experience!

Well, and how about prices? Well, the food is priced at -- what I believe -- a reasonable price, having into consideration the location and the clear effort that is putted into the plates.

It's definitely a place that I'll go over and over again!

Review | L'Oreal Parisl Elvive Extraordinary Oil

This summer, one of my best friends was this hair oil : L'Oreal Parisl Elvive Extraordinary Oil -- the summer version!

Sun and salt usually make my hair extremely dry -- and this summer I was trying out the L'Oreal Paris Casting Sunkiss Tropical, which is basically bleach in a spray bottle. And my hair really appreciated me using this!

And yes, I know it's almost winter now. But I wanted to keep using this to see if I should add this step to my "hair routine", or if this product is something that I only need during the summer.

First of all: packaging -- I really like the gold-ish transparent bottle. And I think the blue-sky pump just gives it super summer-y feel. I really like it. Oh and yes, it's actually nice that iit comes with a pump -- makes application so much easier and mess free!

This oil is different for other oils I've tried. I don't know if it is a "dry" oil, but for sure feels like it. The texture is slightly different from what I was expecting -- it's really liquid-y, but when you rub it on your hands it feels dry. It doesn't make my hair greasy or sticky, just smoother and looking more nourished. It is absorbed almost immediately. It doesn't even make my hands feel greasy after applying it!

During the summer, I would apply it on the beach -- after letting my hair dry for a while. Now, I'm basically doing the same thing. I use about two/three pumps and I apply it only on the ends of my dry hair -- because that's here I need it the most. It smells really good, but the smell is not overpowering. I can still smell my shampoo after using this.

I really think this helps protecting my hair. I feel like it actually works well against the heat. My hair feels really nice after applying this, and I feel like this is really nourishing my ends.
Totally worth trying out.

Before hitting the sales

Sales season is here again! It's awesome! During this time we can find such awesome deals that makes just wanna buy literally everything! But sometimes it's hard to focus one what we want to find and we end up but a bunch of stuff that we just bought because it was a good deal, and that we don't really need that much. So, I am leaving you here some tips of what to do to avoid wasting money!

1. Be like Eminem and clean up your closet: Trow away stuff that it is worn out, that don't like anymore or that you haven't worn in the last year.

2. Make a list: Define what you want, and what you need. And a budget! But give yourself some room for some impulse buying!

3. Avoid crowds: shop online or go in the morning. I hate having a lot of people around me, a lot of noise, having to wait in huge lines just to try something out. So I tend to shop online or to go in the morning. It's way less stressful.

4.Back to basics: invest in some good high quality basic pieces. Take advantage of the sales to get a nice, classic expensive bag, or a high quality coat. A really good piece will last you years and if it's a timeless piece you will always be able to wear it.

5. Accessorize it: invest in accessories. Again, if you can try getting a nice expensive jewelry for example. Or just buy a bunch of cheap statement pieces to spice up your closet!

6. Don't waste time with tinny discounts: it's worthless for me to get 20% off something that costs 20€. I'd rather not waste my time on those people filled stores and go get the same thing after the sales.

UPDATE | Lush NEW Solid Shampoo Bar

I have been feeling the need to give you all an update on my review on this LUSH solid shampoo bar. Not because I have bad things to say though. Because I am so excited and so impressed with this product that I felt like it's worth to share my opinion again.
I've been using it every time that I wash my hair, ever since February. For almost a year! This helped a lot with my hair loss and with dandruff. Usually I lose a lot a hair during the year, it just breaks off very easily. But I've noticed that ever since I've been using this shampoo the fall out has been reduce significantly! And m dandruff is completely gone. For a breve moment in time, I used one from Clone -- but it's not the same. Not at all.

Is it more expensive? Well, yes. This little bar of shampoo costs around 8€. But it lasts a long long time! This is the 4th bar I've bought this year.

One cool thing that I noticed: washing my hair with this shampoo, it seems like my hair doesn't absorve as much water. I don't know how to explain it better but when I'm blowing my hair, I feel like it gets dry much faster. I have no ideia, why. It's so cool.
