Quick tip #8 | Stippling Brush

I never thought I'd say this but I've been applying my foundation with a brush -- instead of my Beauty Blender -- and I actually like it better this way. I feel like I can blend it better into my hair line and neck. It gives me less coverage but honestly I don't mind that. I'm still able to cover some  my yucky spots but I don't look super one toned, flat-faced.

Quick Tip # 7 | Ask for a sample

I don't know if any of you do this or not, but this is something that I've started doing and that I think is really clever.

Whenever I buy a perfume to give as a gift -- for Christmas or birthdays or whatever -- I always ask for a sample of that same perfume and I add it to the gift.  Most stores will fill up one of those sample spray baby bottles for free or for a really small price. This way the person to whom you give the perfume can smell it and try it out before opening the big expensive packaging. And if they don't like it, they can easily take it back to the store and exchange it. Perfume is a super personal thing, and unless you  are buying a fragrance that you know the person likes, you might be wasting your money. I'm weird about smells and I can't tell you how many times I've received bottles of perfume that I hated the smell.

Quick Tip # 6 | Biphasic Makeup Remover

If you wear any type of long-lasting, waterproof make up, you know that you need a really good makeup remover. For me the big challenge is to remove eye makeup. Specially waterproof mascara. I just hate, hate, not being able to remove every single bit dark speckle of mascara, and then waking up in the next morning with the biggest raccoon-eyes. I just hate it. What really works well for me is this Sephora's Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover. It is really good. I really like it. It's biphasic, and this means that it has an oily part and a water-based part. And yes, you need to shake it to mix them together. I've found that one of the best ways to use this is with a Q-tip -- the opening of the bottle is a small hole, just big enough for you to put a hold a Q-tip on it and let it soak with the blue-ish liquid without having any leakage. Than I use it to rub my lash-line, removing the remaining bits of mascara.
And since now I've stared to also started to wear Liquid Matte Lipsticks, I also use it on my lips to make sure I remove every little bit of lipstick. I know that the bottle says eye makeup remover, but it works perfectly fine for lips too.

Quick Tip # 5 | The BEST Make up discs

I've tried many, MANY, make up disks... You know, the kind you use to remove your make up or simple to clean or tone your face. And I've found out that these  from Cien are the best. I don't like the ones that feel like a cotton ball -- they absorve too much product and get all squishy and loose their shape in two seconds and become useless. These hold their shape super well. specially because they have stitching all around. The texture of the tissue is really good: they are two faced -- one side is more soft and smooth, the other has a little more texture, perfect to help clean and remove make up.
And the price is amazing. For 0.89€ you get 140 units. The cheaper ones from Wells cost 0.99€ and come with only 80 units. And they suck hard.

I keep my make up brushes and sponges on an old Ferrero Rocher square box. Yes, these are all the make up brushes I own. And yes, they are all dirty and disgusting.

Quick Tip #4 | Garnier Micellar Water

I know I'm late for the party and that everyone has already raved about this. But this Garnier micellar water is really, really good. I couldn't go by without saying anything.

My ultimate favorite is from Biafine but unfortunately it's not sold in Portugal. My runner up is from Bioderma but it's way too expensive specially for the rate that I go through each bottle.

I use it twice a day and it really helps cleaning and toning my skin. It's the cleaning part that I'm mostly interested. I wash my face with soap and water and then I get cotton-pad soaked in this product and I rub it all over my face. You should see how much yucky stuff comes off my face -- even when I've just washed it!

Tips & Tricks | 5 Tips on how make cheap cloths look expensive

When I step out of the house, wearing something that I love, I know that my confidence will be through the roof f that day. And although I would love to buy only nice and expensive cloths, that's just impossible for me. So I've got some tips to share with you, really cheap ways to make cheap cloths look expensive! I've been trying to not spend a lot of money, I've been thing to me more minimalist and more contained. So I've been trying to make the most of what I already have.

1- The perfect white tee. This is a basic and super underrated essential. A simple nice t-shirt, that you can buy on Primark for like 7 euros. And the trick to make it look expensive is the styling. I like to roll the sleeves a little bit and wear it under a nice leather jacket.

2 - Statement Jewelry. Big nice necklaces can really transform an outfit. You can put it on top of the white tee, make it a little bit more fun, or to tuck it underneath of your plain white button down shirt, and make that professional look much more stylish! But be careful when choosing your jewelry. You don't want to get anything plastic-y, with loose gems or that looks to cheap..

3- Simple and classic makeup. Eyeliner and lipstick can really make any look feel more expensive. But for me only thee shades of lipstick work for this : pink, red or nude. And s little bit of liquid liner. I thing doing a full on wing is a bit to much, and it kinda pulls away from the elegant, expensive look that I like. So usually I just add a little line of liner, super close to my top lashes.

4 - Get your cloths tailored. A well fitted garment always look super nice and expensive. Try to get your cloths tailored to fit you perfectly. This makes all the diference.

5 - Keep it simple. Try not to use shirts or t-shirts with big prints, or words or just weird stuff on it. Low quality stuff tends to lose color in the prints, or the words start to crack, and that looks awful.Try to buy classic small patterns or prints.

I hope you enjoyed my tips, and of course, let me know in comments what do you do to try and make your outfits feel more fancy and expensive! I'm always looking for this type of tips!

Quick Tip #03 | Shower Puff

Using a shower-puff (or loofah or whatever you call it) will help you save a ton of body-wash.
Just drop one blob of  your body-wash liquid on your loofah, scrub it around ib your hands until it starts foaming up, and that - usually- is more than enough for you to wash up your body.

And your skin will also thank you for the extra scruby-scruby.

I always buy mine at Sephora and the one I'm currently using is the one in the picture!

Quick Tip #2 | Scrub it off

Scrubbing your armpits will help you keep odores at bay, because it removes the dead skin cells that my accommodate bacteria. And yep, it's bacteria that causes bad odores.

Keeping your armpits hair-free also helps.
