REVIEW | LUSH Enzymion Facial Moisturizer

You know how when you go to Lush and they always offer you a sample of a product you want?
Well, on one of these occasions I asked for a a sample of a face moisturizer. The girl there asked me a few questions about my skin -- I told her that I have oily t-zone and usually some dry patches. And gave me a sample of their Enzymion Facial Moisturizer. I tried and used every drop of that sample. I loved it so much that I had to go back and buy the full pot.

This product is just awesomeness in a black pot. It's a really gentle face cream, that replenishes moisture without oiliness, while living a matte finish. It's really light and fluid, with almost watery texture which is great if you -- like me -- don't like to feel that sticky feeling that some moisturizers leave.
It has a very fresh, clean smell, because in every pot cont a whole fresh lemon, some papaya, light oils and cocoa butter. The Fresh fruit contains enzymes and and alpha hydrozyc acid that helps remove dead skin cell and makes your skin looks bright while controlling the oiliness.

Because of how fluid this is, it's absorbed very fast and it it sits well under make-up. It easily doubles as an primer with how matte the finish is. This product is target for people with oily skin, however it works perfectly on my combination skin.

It is a pricey item -- this little pot costs 22€ if I'm not mistaken. I know the pot looks really small but with this product a little really goes a long way... just a really small amount is enough for your entire face and neck. AND... this pot pancaking allows you to use every last drop of the product.

REVIEW | L'OREAL Life's a Peach Blush

My favorite shade of blush for the summer is peachy-orange. I think it's the perfect complement for a summer bronzed and glowy skin. And honestly, this Life's a Peach blush is now one of my favorites right now.

This golden-peachy-orange blush is supposedly suitable for all skin tones, offering you a super natural warm peachy-bronze flush coloring to your cheeks. It is the absolutely perfect shade for those no-makeup days. Perfect for a summer day out.

As soon as you open the little compact, you feel a sweet peachy sent, which I'm not a big fan of, but it's bearable. Smells like candy almost. The actual compact thingy feels kinda of cheap, almost like make up for kids, when compared with some other more expensive blushes I own. It’s really bulky. It opens on both sides and one end you have the product and on the other side you have a mirror and a small brush, that completely reminds me of the little brushes that come with all the Benefit blushes.

This has been my staple for this summer. I apply it with big fluffy powder brush on my cheeks, towards my temples. It just gives me a nice glow to my checks and it looks amazing combined with the Bronzer from my Flormar Trio Contour Palette and my CHANEL Rouge Allure Lipstick. It makes me feel glow, confidant and beautiful. Isn’t that perfect?

My Life | Turning around

Last week I went to my firs ever nutrition consultation. I know that my eating habits are not the best... but I decided that it was time to go and find out exactly how bad it was...

About a year ago, I was in a really bad, toxic, weird, relationship. And I was always so sad and depressed that I couldn't eat and when I could I wasn't able to keep food down. Last November I was weighting 48 kg (and I'm 1.60m). I was definitely too thin. I had zero energy, I was always tired.
But as soon as I turned around, and I started to feel better about my self, I regained my appetite and my weight went up.

Now I'm 56kg and I'm comfortable with this weight. I have curves, I feel sexy and really good about my self. However, I feel like I lost a lot of muscle during my depression phase, and I have been feeling super flubbery. So a few months ago I decided to join a gym. It took me a while to add the gym to my routine. I think that for the first two months I went twice. But than I set my mind and I decided that I had to start going and now I'm loving going to the gym. I've been going at least twice a week -- ON WEEKENDS EVEN!

The nutritionist was super sweet and nice with me. She asked me why I decided to go to the appointment, and what was my overall goal. She made me go on the scale and took some measurements like my weight, % of fat, basal metabolism, etc. And she started to create my meal plan. I told her that I’m busy and that I don’t have time for a lot of meal prep and that usually I only eat the 3 main meals of the day. She asked me to describe what I normally eat in a day and created my meal plan around it. It’s a simple meal plan that I’m sure I’ll be able to follow.

My goal is to go from 56 kg to 54 kg and to lower my percentage of body fat from 28% to somewhere under 25%, in the next two months. I have no idea if this is going to be difficult or easy because it’s the first time I’m doing something like this. But I’ll do my best! Wish me luck!

EAT | Rubro, Lisbon

Food with a friend is always a great idea. And if there’s something where I honestly don’t mind spending my money is on good restaurants. Having that, I am always looking for cool, tasteful places to eat.

Rubro is a nice cozy restaurant well know got their aged chuletón. Let’s all that aged beef is definitely the biggest trend in meat right now, there’s no how to avoid it. This restaurant has two location in the city, on in Campo Pequeno and another one near Av. da Liberdade. Be careful when booking — make sure you call the right restaurante. We made that mistake, but fortunately they were super nice about it.

-- I know the picture isn't the best, the lighting was shit, but you get the idea, right? --

We went on a week nigh — it was a Wednesday — and it was almost full. We had the chuletón of course, and let’s just say that we were not disappointed. The serving is for two, but it definitely serves more. The meet was cooked to a perfect medium-rare, just the way I like it. And The contrast of textures between the charred outside and the soft and warm inside was amazing. It was my first time having chuletón and I was impressed on how the same piece of meet can have so many textures and different flavors... the meet around the bone was sweeter, with a more intense flavor, than the rest of that gigantic piece of meet. We had a nice bottle of wine and baked potatoes as a side dish... I was craving sweet-potato fries but unfortunately they don’t have on the menu.

I got the feeling that this is a good place to go with a group of friends. The portions are big and ideal for sharing. And really perfect for a date. The dimmed lights make it cozy and romantic. And the good wine makes for an excellent ice breaker.
